Group Parenting Classes
Does parenting sometimes feel like a hike through the wilderness without a map or compass? You’re not alone. Taught by Dr. Sowa and his wife, Amy, this 8-week course will equip you with the tools you need to navigate the challenges of toddlerhood through adolescence and beyond.

About the Instructors
Adam Sowa is a licensed clinical psychologist with 20+ years of experience working with children, adolescents, and parents. He holds a Ph.D. from Vanderbilt University in Child Clinical Psychology.
Amy Sowa is an elementary school teacher with 20+ years of experience. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Brigham Young University and an M.Ed from Middle Tennessee State University in Reading Education.
Adam and Amy have been married for 34 years and have raised 3 daughters. They are deeply invested in helping parents and their children succeed.
Course Details
Sessions will include information on topics such as behavior management, mental health, anxiety, emotion coaching, school issues, social media, and self-esteem with a cognitive therapy component. Participants will reflect on and analyze how their own backgrounds and ideas shape their parenting and learn best practices for dealing with challenges.
